Recent Cybersecurity News!

Protecting your business from cyber threats is more important than ever, as recent warnings from cybersecurity experts show. This week, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has issued a warning about four critical bugs in Microsoft and Apple software that could be targeted by cybercriminals. CISA has given federal agencies 21 days to ensure their devices are patched to prevent any potential cyberattacks.

One of the bugs that attacks web browsers, affects Apple devices running macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. This bug could be used by hackers to execute code and compromise your device. Apple has released a patch to fix the vulnerability, but it’s important to ensure your devices are updated to the latest software version.

Microsoft has also patched three bugs this week, two of which could allow hackers to gain remote access to your device. Two of these vulnerabilities affect the Windows Graphics Component and the Common Log File System Driver. Another bug is a Microsoft Office macro policy bypass that could be used to carry out a local attack on your computer.

Bugs like these only show the importance of keeping your devices up to date. Riverland Technology Services takes care of updates for all of your company’s devices as part of our Managed Services.
